Kopeschny is a self taught realist painter, born in Kapuskasing, Ontario and the youngest of 4 children.
Barb and her husband Henry, presently reside in a small village south of Gravenhurst, Ontario. In the nearby wilderness, she enjoys snowshoeing and hiking as well as canoeing excursions on countless northern lakes and rivers in search of subjects for her paintings. With her love of nature, Barb often incorporates birds and wildlife in her paintings of northern landscapes.
Realist painters such as Robert Bateman, Carl Brenders and Brent Townsend continue to influence Kopeschny's work.
Throughout the past 15 years, Barb has released several Limited Edition Giclee prints and completed a number of private projects including works of art for Pleasantview Manor Senior home in Virgil, Ontario.
